HEAL
In HEAL, Felix Helmut Wagner deals with transgenerational trauma and creates a ritual setting between Dadaist play and seriousness.
The performance begins with an arrival in which objects are unloaded from a suitcase. However, these are fastened with strings, which become increasingly tighter as the piece evolves. Meanwhile, voices and noises are played from loudspeakers. The tension rises continuously until it culminates in a sudden cut: The connections are severed, resembling a symbolic act that dissolves the trauma. Wagner invites the audience to participate in the ritual in order to contribute to the healing process.
At the end of the performance, the objects remain as a site-specific installation.
